The Burgeon Sunseeker Hoodie is built for long, exposed days when the sun stays high. From alpine ridgelines to open water, it delivers lightweight coverage without turning into a sweatbox.
Made from a performance fabric originally developed for the U.S. military, it enhances your body’s natural cooling while blocking UV with a UPF 30 rating. The hood adds protection for your neck and ears during long paddles, summit pushes, or hours on the river. Soft, breathable, and quick drying, it’s designed to stay comfortable through heat, sweat, and changing conditions.

5% of the purchase price of this product will benefit our community and environmental efforts. These efforts include trail maintenance, working with local non-profits and organizations, as well as our carbon mitigation efforts.
We maintain three (Old Bridle Path, Pine Link, Willey Range) trails in the White Mountains in partnership with the Appalachian Mountain Club. In the past year, we have also donated time, resources, and money to organizations such as New England Disabled Sports, Pemi Search and Rescue, Lakes Region Search and Rescue, the Linwood Rotary, Linwood Ambulance, as well as local community centers in Lincoln, Franconia, and Lisbon, NH.

I tested out my new sun hoodie on the trail today and it was perfect! I really like how the sun hoodie is the length of a shirt and not cropped like others. It was lightweight and didn't feel suffocating!
Wore this sun shirt out fishing on Casco Bay on a day that was 90 degrees in the shade. It kept me nice and cool. Plus it was so great not to come home burnt as a crisp! Would highly recommend!
I’m a hot hiker. I sweat more than most, even in below zero temperatures. I’ve had a really hard time figuring out my layers as a result. I typically end most hikes with some degree of dampness. The first time I wore this hoodie, I ended the hike dry! In subsequent hikes the result has been similar. This is, at the very least, my new default shoulder season hoodie! Whatever magic Burgeon is using, they’ve won me over! The fact that they’re local is even better!
This is my favorite hoodie for running! I love it so much, I’m collecting all the colors.

Wore the Sun Hoodie for my climb up Mt Jefferson this past weekend and couldn’t have been happier with the product. Super durable product for the scrambles up the Caps and was amazed at how much air flow I could feel through the fabric. Will definitely recommend it to others. Plus, I love that it’s made in NH! I love this hoodie. Lightweight, comfortable, dries fast. I am normally an S, but I followed the sizing tips and got an M, and it fits perfectly!
Love my new sunseeker hoodie! It’s not hot and sticky like some sun shirts. It’s super versatile and seems to adapt to the current temperature. And the orange color is rad! Will be wearing this all summer.
Really like the slim fit - I did have to size up one but now the fit is perfect! Light, comfortable and fits well under jackets for layering. Also love the colours - women’s colours are often a bit insipid so love the bold Burgeon colour ways!

This hoodie is not only great for hiking (especially on the ridges), but also for any outdoor activity - I have also used it kayaking, fishing, and while sitting in the sun. Love that I get the sun protection without all the sunscreen! I never thought a long sleeve shirt could be as cool (or cooler) than a short sleeve, but I am now a believer!
After my last hoodie gave up the ghost in a month, this one performed much better. It kept me cool and wicked sweat away. After four weeks of daily wear, it did get stretched out some, but still fit OK. The only change I would make is to enlarge the hood a little bit so it went further over my hat.
This is genuinely the best hiking shirt for moisture management that I've ever had! It also runs true to size and doesn't stretch out or feel like a plastic bag. I wish the sleeves were a bit longer and it had thumb holes to act as partial sun gloves.

My wife and I both bought sunseeker hoodies and love them! The material doesn't stick to your skin when you sweat like many other sunshirts do. Like the colors and fit. Make sure to size up and you're all set.

I wore my sunseeker for a week straight on a backcountry trip in glacier national park, it was perfect for hiking and canoeing, dries quickly, and didn’t even get too smelly!
I was recently given the sunseeker hoodie as a gift. Have now worn it the past four days on the beach in Cape Cod - and despite several really sunny days, no sunburn (even without a beach umbrella). I love how light it feels on the skin compared to other sun hoodies I have - and how quickly it dries in the sea breeze. I know it was made for hikers, but it is awesome for the beach too!

I have worn my sunseeker hiking, at the beach, and cycling. It is an amazing all around sun hoodie. Keeps me cool on the trails - even uphill on hot days and long lasting sun protection at the beach (+6 hours in direct sun). Surprised by how well the hood works even on windy summits. Great hoodie and I’ll be back for another!!!
Only reason not 5 stars is that I got a nasty pull in the front. I was bushwhacking so must have run into a tree branch. I'll try to pull it through because I like this shirt and want to keep wearing it.
