Burgeon is in the process of developing the next generation of women's outdoor apparel -- all made right here in the mountains! Over the past few weeks we have been revising and refining our designs and are currently working on creating our next series of prototypes. We hope this next round of prototypes meets our standards and permits us to move forward to production!
Burgeon is committed to creating an outstanding line of products that our whole community can be proud of. We know this is taking longer than many of you would like (us included), but we're confident that the extra time spent in design will pay off. We are working to create a line you will love -- one that fits properly, looks good, and performs in the harsh conditions of the White Mountains.
Last month, Burgeon met with a group of female outdoor enthusiasts in North Conway to discuss its upcoming women’s line. In addition to our fit and field tester Alex Roberts (featured above in a base layer prototype), we were joined by Tiffany, Kelsey, Robin and Elizabeth. Each of them has a passion for the White Mountains as well as varied activities such as hiking, climbing, skiing, running and cycling.
We gathered a great deal of feedback on sizing, fit, color and more. In general we heard better fit - especially in terms of length and circumference around the hips, less bright colors (especially pink), but not the harsh tones of some shades, and an overall desire for comfort (zipper garages, softer storm flaps, high quality materials).
