This marks our 6th year of passing out turkeys to our employees for Thanksgiving.
This blog post usually has a nice photo of me handing an employee a turkey or a pie (or both) and some notes about things we are thankful for this past year.
While I could make quite a list of things we are grateful for this Thanksgiving season, I want to highlight just one.
This year several of our employees passed on accepting a turkey and asked that Burgeon donate it to a family in need this season, which we did in partnership with our local Rotary Club.
I founded Burgeon because I envision a world of prosperous mountain communities that are economically vibrant, environmentally sustainable, and socially rich.
Our mission is to create a better tomorrow for mountain communities, such as Lincoln and Gorham where we operate.
To see our employees bring this vision and mission to life is one of the most fulfilling things I have experienced since founding Burgeon. For this I am truly grateful. We not only make some of the finest outdoor apparel in the world, we have some of the finest people I know creating a better tomorrow for the White Mountains of New Hampshire.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone.
