We maintain three (Old Bridle Path, Pine Link, Willey Range) trails in the White Mountains in partnership with the Appalachian Mountain Club. In the past year, we have also donated time, resources, and money to organizations such as New England Disabled Sports, Pemi Search and Rescue, Lakes Region Search and Rescue, the Linwood Rotary, Linwood Ambulance, as well as local community centers in Lincoln, Franconia, and Lisbon, NH.

Loved This Piece

I ordered the Alpha Direct 90, women’s medium in Night Sky. I usually fit a medium or a small but the medium was too snug. I called and the customer service representative sent me a large with a return label for the medium without me having to pay anything additional or fill out any forms. Outstanding service and I absolutely love this hoodie. It is soft, cozy and weightless. The color is really pretty too.

Perfect layer

I got this mid-weight for summer nights sleeping in the huts of the White Mountains. It was the perfect weight for chilly nights and early mornings. I was comfortable without feeling any additional weight.

Perfect for me

I've been looking for an Alpha 90 hoodie for women and was really coming up short on what I was looking for, nice cut and nice colors. I'm pretty small too at 5'4" and 106-108 lbs so really couldn't go for the men's sizing in other brands. I took a chance on the Burgeon because the cut looked exactly like what I wanted and the colors were wonderful. I did listen to previous reviews saying to size up. I would conclude this is correct advise. I wear a small in Rab which runs a bit smaller than Patagonia where I typically wear an XS just to give an idea. I ordered a M and it was perfect. It fit over a Merino 160 or 250 baselayer and will go nicely under a puffy. However it does feel incredibly delicate and I won't be wearing it much except for the backpacking trips I have planned.

Game Changer Fleece

This is my favorite item n my wardrobe. I wear it almost daily! I was introduced to Alpha Direct 90 Hoodie when I stole my husband's on the Foothills Trail. I wore it 7 days straight and no smell! :-) Dries very well and keeps me warm. I suggest 90 versus 120 if you’re in weather not colder than 30 degrees. Perfect!

size up?

i am a size 10 w 39 chest and i got the L, and it fits like a base layer. i can't really wear it over anything other than a bra/tank. the sleeves especially are quite narrow/tight.

i LOVE the jewel tones! (mine is red) and it's super soft and comfy, great wicking from wearing it and a vest for a steep hike on a breezy 40F day.

near perfect

The material is perfect, size is perfect, I wish the hood had a more scooba hood design. however it’s nice to have it be ultralight weight , so im conflicted. looking forward to testing it in cold and humid climates.

Wrong size

I just got my hoodie delivered usually I wear a size small but the hoodie size small I ordered it. It’s so small. Looks like for 12 years old. Make sure by size up because it does not match size original usual normal size it’s small way small than it’s small.:(

Love my Alpha!

I love my Alpha 90 hoodie. I was able to take it out over the weekend and test it in mild to cooler temps on an overnight backpacking trip. It is so light, soft and comfortable that I even slept in it. Highly recommend and I may even have to splurge on another one in a brighter color. I did look a bit like I was wearing a black bear suit but it is AWESOME!
